Gearing up for the big night ahead, Melissa McCarthy was spotted arriving at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening (January 29).

The “Gilmore Girls” actress worked the red carpet at the Shrine Exposition Center venue before hitting the entrance to tend to her presenter duties alongside Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

And while she was hoping for a big win for her role in "Bridesmaids," Miss McCarthy ended up losing out on Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role honors to Octavia Spencer of "The Help".

Along with toasting Tinseltown's elite, the night also saw Dick Van Dyke present Screen Actors Guild’s 48th Life Achievement Award to Mary Tyler Moore.

Strutting her stuff down the red carpet, Amber Heard turned up for 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (January 29).

The "Rum Diaries" actress looked stunning as she made her way inside the Shrine Exposition Center for the swanky SAG ceremony.

Top contenders this time around include "The Help" with four bids for glory while "Modern Family" set the pace for television shows with five SAG nominations.

Airing live on TNT and TBS at 8PM ET, the show honors the best in Hollywood over the past year while also having selected Mary Tyler Moore as the recipient of the 48th Life Achievement Award.
