After having to cancel the remaining of her shows this year, it was just announced that Adele is set to have surgery to fix her vocal chord problems.

According to a statement released on Friday (October 28), the “Rolling in the Deep” songstress will have an operation “to alleviate the current issues with her throat” and must “completely recuperate before looking to schedule any more work commitments.”

Earlier this month after announcing her canceled show, Adele said, “I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever.”

Doctors anticipate a full recovery out of the chart-topping singer.
