Anya Ayoung-Chee is the official winner of Project Runway! It was a fairly dull season, but Anya and her summery, Caribbean-inspired dresses still managed to take home the top prize last night. Thought she'd only been sewing for four months when she got cast, the former Miss Trinidad and Tobago is apparently already fielding calls from celebrities.
"It's really overwhelming. I came from not expecting to go past the casting because of my sewing skills ... it's just the most unbelievable story, and I'm just along for the ride," Anya told People.
Congrats Anya! Now can we please up the ante on crazy contestants for Season 10?
• Everyone's favorite warlock is baaaaaaaack. Charlie Sheen's new comedy Anger Management, loosely based on the 2003 movie starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler, has been picked up by FX. The show will premiere in the summer of 2012. No word on whether Anger Management producers are making Sheen sign a morality clause, but we'd definitely bet some tiger blood on it.
• In the face of tonight's World Series Game 7, Fox and CBS have both pulled all new programming from their line-ups. But not NBC! If baseball's not your thing you can check out the premiere of Chuck's final season and the series premiere of Grimm, which tells the story of a man who discovers that he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms," charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world. We saw the pilot at Comic Con and we think the show has the potential to be a fun, Buffy-style scare fest. Check it out tonight on NBC at 9/8c.
• This depressing story from AolTV has some of our favorite TV shows like Community, Parks and Recreation, and The Good Wife on the cancelation bubble. Does Amy Poehler have to climb into a hot tub with her clothes on to get people to watch her incredibly funny show? BECAUSE SHE WILL.
• Beavis and Butthead returned to MTV last night to take on The Jersey Shore, MGMT's "Kids" video, and other MTV fare. The return of Mike Judge's dim-witted duo drew in an impressive 3.3 million viewers. We can't wait 'til they get their heh-hehs into 16 and Pregnant. Visit MTV's website for the new Beavis and Butthead schedule.
• In honor of the one-year anniversary of his TBS talk show, Conan O'Brien is reportedly going to officiate a gay marriage on live TV (via Vulture). If all goes as planned, O'Brien will be marrying a longtime staff member and his partner. The Masturbating Bear is disapppointed that he was not asked to be the best man.
