With another action-packed season quickly approaching, the television machine known as "American Idol" has released a promo for the competition series' upcoming eleventh go-round.

The hit FOX program once again finds Ryan Seacrest acting as host while judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson are all back to critique the latest batch of hopeful winners.

As for the return of "Idol," Season 11 is set to get underway following the NFL Playoffs on January 22, 2012 with future air dates landing on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8/7c.

Once the field is whittled down, the "American Idol" champion will be crowned at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles during a finale episode slated for May 23, 2012.
