It has been a tough week for family and friends of Amy Winehouse, and earlier today (July 26) the late singer was laid to rest in a private funeral ceremony in North London.

According to an insider, there were three stages of the funeral, including a traditional Jewish ceremony of bereavement (shiva) at a synagogue, cremation, and a gathering at the family home.

Celebrity guests at the funeral included gal pal Kelly Osbourne, who wore Amy’s signature beehive hairdo, and Winehouse’s longtime producer friend Mark Ronson.

Evidently, Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil was denied release from prison to attend- he’s serving 32 months.

Fellow singer Adele posted a statement on her website- "Amy paved the way for artists like me and made people excited about British music again whilst being fearlessly hilarious and blasé. Although I'm incredibly sad about Amy passing I'm also reminded of how immensely proud of her I am, and grateful to be inspired by her.”
