“Captain America” Grosses $4 Million on Midnight Opening
Kicking off its opening weekend with a bang, “Captain America: The First Avenger” grossed over $4 million after its midnight opening.
According to Hollywood Reporter, “That’s the best midnight gross of the summer for a superhero pic.”
In comparison, “X-Men: First Class” earned $3.4 in its midnight run, while “Green Lantern” brought in $3.35.
Currently, “Captain America” which stars Chris Evans, is being heavily promoted at Comic-Con in San Diego.
